Jenna Humphreys

I was born into this world with the guidance of a midwife, which seems to have placed me on a path of deep trust in birth. I support the mother/couple prenatally by exploring with her/them ideas about birth, and cultivating trust in the process.

In labor, I team up with the partner, if involved, and use visualization, massage, movement and other techniques to help the mother navigate the unknown landscape that is birth. I also guide parents in forming and maintaining a conscious connection to their baby before, during and after birth. I serve as an informational resource as well as emotional and physical support during pregnancy, birth and the early postpartum period. I also provide assistance with establishing breastfeeding and basic care for the new family.

I am DONA certified, and currently participating in the Birthing From Within Mentor certification program. I offer my services on a sliding scale, so please feel free to call and set up a free consultation.

Lastly, I am fluent in Spanish, and the first three births I witnessed were in the Dominican Republic in a Spanish-speaking hospital.
